About Me

My name is Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Deldoost (also known as Mostafa Deldoost). I am an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in neuroeconomics, behavioral economics, and heterodox economics. I combine neuroscience, psychology, and economics to understand the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying economic decision-making, with a focus on social preferences, behavioral contagion, and complexity in economic systems.

• Neuroeconomics: Neural correlates of economic choices using EEG/ERP and eye-tracking
• Behavioral Economics: Bounded rationality, social preferences, conformity, and herding
• Heterodox Economics: Critiques of representative-agent models; complexity, emergence, and institutional perspectives in macroeconomic systems

  This work explores the intersection of humanomics and neuroeconomics to advance our understanding of economic cooperation, integrating insights from neuroscience, psychology, and economics to illuminate the mechanisms underlying collaborative human behavior.
• Mar 2025 Paper Submitted: "Beyond Aggregation: How Microeconomic Heterogeneity Shapes Macroeconomic Emergence" to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Economics.
  
  This work challenges traditional 'representative agent' models by applying complexity theory. Using the Ising model from statistical mechanics, we demonstrate how micro-heterogeneity, social interactions, and external factors lead to unexpected, emergent behaviors in collective social decision-making.
